After switching GP, registration takes effect on the 1st of the following month. Until then, you remain a patient with your current GP.

Services at Hotvet Medical Centre are part of Norway's public GP service. Prices apply from 1 July 2026 and are set by the authorities.
Prices are the same for all GPs in Norway.

Not covered by HELFO — 30 NOK per unit.
Free card: When you have paid NOK 3,115 in co-payments in a calendar year, you receive a free card automatically from Helfo — and pay no co-payments for the rest of the year. Children under 18 and pregnant women at pregnancy check-ups are exempt.
Co-payments are the same for all GPs in Norway and are set by Helfo and Parliament. Prices update when new rates take effect on 1 July each year.
You can pay by card, Vipps or invoice. A no-show fee applies if the appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours before. Questions about a bill? Get in touch — we'll gladly explain.
